About Adesola
Hi! I’m really passionate about helping students grow in confidence and achieve their best in English. Having attended grammar school after passing the 11-plus myself, and having had tuition all my life, I know how important the right support can be. I absolutely love reading—I once read a whole book in just 12 hours! I believe that diving into stories and ideas is one of the best ways to boost English skills. Outside of tutoring, I enjoy performing at large-scale events like the New Year’s Day parade, being active in my church, caring for my exotic pets, and playing the piano. I was also honoured to be a pageant queen, which taught me a lot about confidence and self-expression—skills I love sharing with my students. I’m friendly, professional, and reliable, and I make sure every lesson is engaging and tailored to each student’s needs. Whether you’re preparing for the 11-plus or working towards top GCSE grades, I’m here to support you every step of the way.

Having been blessed to receive tuition all through primary school, I feel really privileged to share the support and skills that helped me along the way. I want my lessons to be friendly, encouraging, and tailored to what each student needs. I like to keep lessons interactive and fun by: Breaking down tricky texts into easy, understandable parts Having open, relaxed discussions to help students think deeply Using creative writing to boost confidence and make learning enjoyable Focusing on grammar and vocabulary in a clear, simple way Giving regular feedback with gentle guidance and achievable goals I usually teach for one hour, which gives us enough time to really focus without feeling overwhelmed. With my experience shadowing a primary school English teacher and my background as a former grammar school student who passed the 11-plus, I understand what it takes to support learners from primary level right up to GCSE. I love helping students build their confidence and skills, especially those preparing for grammar school entrance or aiming to improve their GCSE English.
