About Darren
I’m Darren, a PhD Chemist and MBA graduate with a genuine passion for helping students succeed. After completing my PhD, I spent several years in pharmaceutical manufacturing before co-founding a biotech startup in the ophthalmology sector, where I successfully raised over £3.2 million in funding.
I am now transitioning into a career in teaching, as I believe my blend of high-level academic rigour and real-world industrial experience offers a unique perspective for students.
Outside of my professional life, I’m a keen footballer and boxer, though these days, golf has shifted from a hobby to a bit of an obsession.
