About Ben
I am a teacher, having taught art to grades K-5. I was a classroom teacher for grades 1, 2, and 5, and am looking forward to another year of fun with learning. I also coach soccer for my daughter's team, and I coach bands at a local school of rock. I love to write and play music. I have my own band that I write music for, and I also play in a friend's band. I prefer the bass guitar, but I love playing drums and regular guitar as well. I speak Spanish as well, and absolutely love all things Mexico.

I usually incorporate practice throughout each lesson so students can watch me model first, and then we practice together. I also like to use group assignments as much as possible. My lessons are geared for elementary, but I can tailor based on your age/grade level, and learning style.
