About Laura

I am a recent PhD graduate in History, with a great love and passion for the topic. My own research is concerned with Emotions History, a relatively new and ever expanding branch of the subject. During my time at university however, I gained knowledge in multiple themes and time periods of the subject, from the Aztecs to 20th Century protests, and micro-history to larger concepts such as gender or race theory. I have a great passion for my subject and enjoy passing this onto my students.

About the lesson

In my experience teaching both Undergraduate and Postgraduate students I have learnt that everyone has their own learning style and learning needs. I can assist you in understanding complex theories within the study of History as well as help with the basics of essay structure and style. Whether you require a bit of extra help working towards passing your exams or want to hone your skills in effective academic writing, my lessons are tailored to your needs.
