About Zhenlei
With over 10 years of teaching and tutoring experience and a PhD in Statistics, I work with 110+students from high school, College and University online at all levels—beginner, intermediate, and advanced. My focus is on conceptual understanding, homework support, and exam strategies, all delivered through frequent communication to address any issues in real-time.
To help you achieve your learning goals, I use simple examples to explain complex concepts and reinforce them with in-class exercises. Before-class exams help us assess your existing knowledge and ensure a solid foundation. I guide students in constructing frameworks that highlight connections, similarities, and differences between content areas, enhancing overall comprehension. Additionally, I’ve tailored complex statistics lessons for neurodivergent students, including those with ADHD, by breaking down multi-step formulas into digestible segments.
As a former university lecturer, I’ve taught courses like Business Statistics, the Theory of Interest, and Econometrics. This role involved designing courses, explaining concepts, and assessing term papers. I've supported students from Canadian universities, including UBC and the University of Toronto, in organizing and reviewing their coursework.
My experience extends to AP Statistics, where I am familiar with the format and scoring, as well as teaching algebra and calculus at school or college levels. I conduct online lessons in both English and Mandarin, ensuring language does not become a barrier to mastering Statistics.
