About Tom
I am an MChem (Hons) chemistry graduate, currently, in my final year of study for a PhD in electrical engineering & electronics, my specialism falls into the categories of nanotechnology and electrochemistry. I have experience assisting in tutoring students all throughout my secondary school years and undergraduate degree and I now work as a lab demonstrator for undergraduates alongside my studies.

I base my teaching around problem-solving, this reinforces and adds context to the information I teach, as well as honing exam skills. Problem-solving is also useful for separating what specific information a student understands and what they do not as this can sometimes be difficult for a student to articulate when talking about complex topics.

Details
I offer a free lesson to start which will act as a consultation period where I get up to speed with what a student understands and what they need help with, the specifics of their course and exam board. Please do not book this expecting a full standard lesson with prepared materials.
I mostly restrict my work to teaching online as I have a busy schedule as a student and I find travelling eats into my productive hours too much, however, if you would prefer an in-person lesson for any reason please message me and I will try to make arrangements.
