About Kaitlyn
I am a PhD student at UofT specializing in the genetics of neurodevelopmental disorders. My undergraduate degree is from UofT in Human Biology and Physiology, with a minor in French. I took classes in neurology, physiology, anatomy, virology, forestry, cell biology, molecular biology and health sciences. I have lectured at high schools and elementary schools with the program Let's Talk Science and as a guest speaker. From my PhD I have experience in R coding, C++, bioinformatics, cell biology and most of all genetics.
I also recently trained 2 undergraduate students in our genetics lab. I trained them in cell biology techniques, brain anatomy and genetics.

My teaching method is flexible and tailored to each individual. I use visual and interactive approaches to help people learn biology. I am unique as a tutor because of my experience teaching classes of 6-50 individuals and my experience as a PhD student.

I have worked with Kaitlyn in my 3rd year undergrad, and the only words I can use to describe her is ABSOLUTELY AMAZING, I can say with confident I would have not been able to finish my project and presentation without the help and teaching of Kaitlyn. She is extremely good at dumbing complicated concepts and mechanisms down for you, and helping you interpret what your professor is trying to say, haha!
