About Ozan
I am in the middle of my undergraduate of Physics and Math/CS major at the University of Illinois who has spent many years as a Science Olympiad Coach, ran local Peer Tutoring Club and also volunteered in my high school to run support classes. I personally believe tutoring is most effective when we address the fundamental understanding of prerequisite topics.
I took 14 AP tests in high school, passing all with 5s, and additionally got a 36 on the ACT. I have a strong understanding of what it takes to succeed not just in a classroom context, but also with regards to standardized testing.

I usually tutor via Zoom as this is the easiest platform for me, but an alternative platform is also acceptable if needed.
Oftentimes in school we are taught topics, and we will learn how to do problems and memorize a skill. This is effective until we are forced to build upon these ideas which is where taking a moment to reflect and understand exactly what we are doing becomes vital. Only then can we learn the next topic which relies on this understanding. I will take the time to work with you not just on completing work, but re-establishing the foundation you need to succeed.
Additionally, many of these topics that I tutor in will be taught very differently and with different emphasis depending on if it is for a course or school work. If you are looking for help with a specific course, I ask that you communicate this with me, and if possible any sort of course topics list so I may more effectively be able to suit your tutoring needs.
