About Halie
Hi! I've worked as a math tutor before at my community college and found the one-on-one help to be wonderful. Both for me and my peers.
Since I am still a student, I cannot help with upper level calculus. Anything pre-calculus and below I have the knowledge to work through. I find tutoring a learning experience, not only for the individual I am helping, but also me!
Everyone learns in a different way and I enjoy turning hard subjects, such as math, into a source of pride for people when they begin to understand their classes.

I usually start with walking through a problem and showing students how to solve them using the methods provided. For any problem after the initial few I try to have the students work through the problem themselves, gradually giving less hints. However, I will alter the way I teach based on each individuals learning style.
