About Lina
Hi! I’m a second year med student at UCD from France, and I genuinely love physics, chemistry, and problem-solving. I enjoy helping others understand concepts and gain confidence in these subjects, and I find it really rewarding to see students develop their own logical approach to problems. I would describe myself as friendly and approachable, and I hope to create lessons where students feel comfortable asking questions and exploring ideas. Beyond science, I enjoy piano, drama, and other creative pursuits, and I have a broad interest in humanities as well, which I think helps me explain things in different ways. I’m hoping to become a doctor one day, so working with people and helping others is something I truly value. My goal as a tutor is to make lessons enjoyable, clear, and focused on understanding, while encouraging independent thinking and problem-solving skills.

As a medical student, I have a strong background in physics and chemistry, including consistently high scores in high school and a 20/20 in my final-year physics-chemistry exams (french baccalaureate). I was also selected for a national competition in physics, chemistry, and maths in France (Concours Général) and accepted into one of France’s top prépa, Henri IV MPSI, as well as top medicine schools including Sorbonne and Paris Cité. I offer tutoring for Leaving Cert students and below, tailored to anyone who wants to strengthen their understanding of the subjects.
My lessons are typically 50 minutes, but I’m flexible depending on what works best for you.
My approach focuses on core concepts first. I gradually introduce concepts, making sure you truly understand the logic behind the subject. Once the concepts are clear, we move straight into problem solving. I help with homework, exercises, and applying formulas, gradually building your ability to tackle problems independently. My goal is for you to understand, practice, and eventually solve problems on your own, because that’s how physics and chemistry become intuitive and logical.
