About Kyle
I have a Bachelor of Music degree in flute performance from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. I have been teaching for 16 years and have maintained a studio of in-person and remote lessons through at Music Quarters in Charlotte since 2014. In addition to teaching, I have performed as a keyboardist for many local bands in the Charlotte area (currently playing for the Olde Guard). I have played flute and piccolo in the Charlotte Civic Orchestra since 2007. I am an avid listener of music in all styles and am usually reading books related to music history, be it classical or contemporary.

I teach both flute and piano. I try to tailor lessons to each individual student! Music theory and artistry will be taught in tandem with the fundamentals of playing. I love rock, pop and jazz in addition to classical repertoire and am comfortable teaching in all styles.
