About Elizabeth
When I was attending community college in persual of my associates degree, I was recruited by the college's tutoring program to help other classmates. I graduated from community college with a 4.0 GPA, and with an associates of science degree in general studies (concentration in science). I have since worked at that commmunity college as a tutor for 3 years, and have helped students to realize that they are not alone in their academic journey. When I tutor a student, I consider it a privelege to be able to give them the help I wish was available to me.

I like to tutor my students in a friendly and non-intimidating manner by relating to their hardships and encouraging them. My style of teaching is to break down the material to be as easy as possible by using real-life metaphors and mechanisms to help them understand. I love using tips and tricks on how to study for the given material, including time and stress management. I feel as though I am set apart as a tutor because I have personally experienced the struggles and obstacles that can be endured as a student. My lessons are mainly geared towards college-level biology students who would like to go into a health-care career or are having trouble with their prerequisite courses before they continue their education in persual of a science-based job. Here are the courses I can assist with: Human Anatomy and Physiology 1 and 2, introductory courses to biology, medical terminology, cellular biology, microbiology, biochemistry 1, english composition 1 and 2,american literature 1 and 2, remedial math courses, algebra, pre-calculus, and pre-calculus with trigonometry.

I had Elizabeth as my tutor for Anatomy and Physiology 1 &2. I took these classes as mini courses last semester and she was a GOD SEND!!

Elizabeth is an excellent math tutor! She is highly knowledgeable, yet makes the subject easy for anyone to understand. She is able to diversify her lessons and tailor them to the students needs. She is also quite patient and can get alone with anyone. Would highly recommended her as a teacher!
