About Janet
I am a friendly, fun and responsible person who has a passion for helping others. I am currently a primary teaching assistant for Y1, supporting core literacy, phonics and mathematics. However, I have a lot of experience working with and being responsible for young people and children of various ages (SEN teaching- 1yrs mentoring- 2yrs, tutoring- 2yrs, working in a softplay centre) and I think working with young people is a fun, rewarding experience as each child is so unique.

My lessons are fun, engaging and based on a lot of positive reinforcement so my students feel motivated. I tend to do warm up activities and recaps in next sessions for repeated learning, and I like to build rapport so I can work in a friendly way on topics students struggle with.
I have studied a variety of subjects and feel competent in them, such as achieving 11 A*s including maths and English at iGSCE level and have undergone further studies (maths, English, Spanish, Economics Biology and Psychology) at a A level equivalent. From further undergraduate study, I am able to be disciplined in educating myself so I can help others and also learn about developmental psychology and apply this to understanding young people in their different learning stages and needs.
