About Aashritha
Hi, I’m Aashritha, a Master of Artificial Intelligence student at RMIT University with teaching experience as a Primary Teacher in India. I have taught Math and English to students from Years 1–5 and genuinely enjoy helping children understand concepts in a simple and engaging way.
I believe every student learns differently, so I take a patient and personalized approach to teaching. I first understand where a student is struggling and then adapt my explanation using simple language, visual examples, everyday situations and practical activities. I also encourage students to ask questions freely so they can feel comfortable and confident during lessons.
I also have experience working with school children in Melbourne as a School Crossing Supervisor, which has strengthened my communication, patience and sense of responsibility when working with children.
My goal is not just to help students improve their schoolwork, but to help them understand what they are learning, build confidence and become more independent learners. I would love to support your child and make learning a positive and enjoyable experience.

My approach to teaching is patient, personalised and student-focused. I believe every student learns differently, so I first try to understand their current level, learning style and the areas they find difficult.
I have experience working as a Primary Teacher in India, teaching Maths and English to students from Years 1–5. I also have experience working with school children in Melbourne as a School Crossing Supervisor, which has helped me develop strong communication, patience and responsibility when working with children.
During lessons, I explain concepts step by step using simple language, visual examples, everyday situations and practical activities. If a student is struggling, I don’t simply repeat the same explanation. I try a different approach, break the concept into smaller parts, and encourage the student to ask questions without hesitation.
I would typically conduct lessons for around 60 minutes, with the structure adjusted according to the student’s age, concentration level and learning needs. A typical lesson may include a short review, introduction of the new concept, guided practice, independent questions and a quick recap at the end.
My lessons are mainly designed for primary school students in Years 1–5, particularly for Maths and English. In Maths, I can help with areas such as arithmetic, fractions and basic problem-solving. In English, I can support grammar, reading, writing, vocabulary and comprehension.
My main goal is not just to help students complete their schoolwork, but to help them understand the concepts, become comfortable asking questions and gradually develop confidence and independence in their learning.
