About Elena
I am a small group teacher and tutor at a charter high school in Bridgeport, CT. I currently teach Humanities. I graduated from the University of Connecticut in December 2016 with a BA in History with a minor in French. I will be graduating Columbia Univerity Fall 2020 with a Masters in Education, specializing in Curriculum and Teaching. In addition to my current position, I have studied and taught in Paris and Morocco.

As an experienced small-group educator I know how to tailor my lesson to each student's specific needs. I currently teach at a low-income school with at-risk students, and I know how to incorporate empathy and social-emotional support into my teaching.
