About Afonso
I am a future engineer, and I try to teach the methods I learned in class, as well as the methods I conceived to understand the subject and make it understandable, with the ultimate goal of passing the subjects. It is based on repeating patterns for exercises expected at the time of the test, until they are well mechanized, so that the test is not more than a set of well known exercises.

I came from the science and technology course, during high school, to the Faculty of Science and Technology at the University of Coimbra, where I joined the Computer Engineering course. I have been interested in numbers and programming languages since the 9th grade at least, and so I managed to develop a taste in programming and mathematics (and their applications). Therefore, I try to make the subject as clear as I can to my students, in the same way that I did to myself, which is through discovering and developing the patterns that simplify the resolution of any exercise that may appear in the test.

Conheço em primeira mão o jeito que o Afonso tem para explicar o que quer que seja, especialmente de programação. Desde o nosso 12º ano foi com ele que aprendi a arte do surf, e sempre me fascinou a forma como ele sabe ler o mar. Entretanto já me ajudou várias vezes com programação, incluindo MatLab, Python, e recentemente com um website feito em WordPress, oportunidade que ele aproveitou para me ensinar um pouco do que está por detrás disso, falando de HTML entre outras coisas. O estilo dele é muito descontraído, como seria de esperar de um homem do surf - o coração dele pertence ao mar e por isso é tranquilo como a água, fluindo sempre ao seu próprio ritmo. Recomendo o Afonso para quem procura uma explicação prática, simples e direta, mas ao mesmo tempo sempre com algo mais profundo a acrescentar caso lhe seja solicitado.
