About Amy
Coding became my primary focus when I realized how poorly most academic programs structure logical thinking for students. I sat in a crowded lecture hall 11 years ago and struggled to connect abstract theory to actual working syntax.
Today, I use that experience to teach Python, Java, JavaScript, data structures, and HTML and CSS to my 243 students. My background involves translating complex technical requirements into clean, functional logic. Code review is intense. I structure each session as a live debugging environment where we break down your logic step by step. My MSc in Biology from UC Berkeley informs the way I categorize and organize technical information for my students.
