About Riju
Hi! I’m Riju, a University of Utah student studying Psychology with a strong interest in helping others learn and grow. I’m a patient, responsible, and encouraging person who understands that asking for help is a normal part of learning. I take the time to listen to each student, explain things clearly, and create a supportive environment where they can feel comfortable asking questions. I’m committed to being prepared, professional, and dependable while helping students build both their knowledge and confidence.

My goal as a tutor is to make learning feel less overwhelming and more approachable. I believe everyone learns differently, so I adjust my teaching style based on each student’s needs, strengths, and learning preferences. I focus on explaining concepts in simple terms, using examples, asking questions, and making sure students actually understand the material instead of just memorizing it.
A typical lesson starts by reviewing what the student already knows and identifying anything they are struggling with. From there, we work through the topic step-by-step, practice together, and finish with a quick review to make sure the student feels confident moving forward.
What sets me apart is my patience, compassion, and ability to create a comfortable environment where students can ask questions without feeling embarrassed. My lessons are especially suited for high school and college students who want extra support, better study strategies, or help understanding challenging course material.
