My teaching philosophy is shaped by my desire to create an environment where students can examine questions of theory, practice, and research to identify and implement innovative solutions to issues in our society. My role is to facilitate student learning through the selection of topics, relevant course materials, and class assignments. I also strive to show them important linkages between theory and practice through relevant course materials, and through active learning methods such as peer collaboration and engagement on real life projects . Overall, I view my role in the classroom as developing future scientists who have the capacity to develop and implement practical solutions to real-world challenges.
I have lessons for students ranging from high school to Master's level students in the areas of economics, econometrics, math, statistics, and research methods.
