About Daniel
I am a recent graduate of Lafayette College (Easton, PA) where I completed my bachelor's degree in biochemistry while conducting organic synthesis research for three semesters. My group's data was published in the Journal of Organometallic Chemistry in 2017. As a member of the chemistry department, I was a general chemistry lab teaching assistant for two semesters. During that time, I guided ~50 students through their introduction to chemistry. As a biochemistry major and avid lover of science, I have tutored natural/biological sciences and math since my high school years, as well.

As a recent graduate, I would be able to comfortably connect with students and review material covered ranging from middle school through college. I have commonly used a teaching technique that I learned in scouting: the "E.D.G.E. Method". To Explain is the first step, where I reveal relevant background for the material. To Demonstrate follows explaining by showing how the material is used or applied to the subject. Next, I Guide students as they attempt to utilize the material. Finally, I Evaluate the students' efforts. This method provides experience for the student to learn firsthand, and can easily be applied to a broad range of material/courses.
