About Alan
I am an engineer, and also MBA qualified, and have recently retired.
I used to tutor maths when I was an engineering student, in the days when tutoring was done face to face. I am keen to become an online tutor using the technology which is now available.
My previous tutoring was very successful, I coached 8 students, two from failing grades, to university entrance. I enjoy the challenge, and helping parents with what they cannot do, due to their circumstances or commitments.

My teaching method is based on following the school curriculum, as set out by The NZ Centre of Mathematics. I try to work through the material at the same pace as teachers do at school.
I do not try to get ahead, but sometimes of course some catching up is necessary.
I will work through problems that I will present, and also help with homework problems that kids might bring.
