About Issy

I have been privately tutoring students for over three years, but I am new to this site. I have TEFL certification, and an enthusiasm for meeting and helping new students. I am also an artist in London (with an American accent) and nature enthusiast. I'm looking forward to meeting you soon! You can book a FREE first lesson and we can start your English learning journey :)

About the lesson

I love helping students build their confidence in using the English language. I focus on improving conversational, academic, and business English. I create my lessons based on what the student would like to focus on—grammar lessons or review, conversational practice, pronunciation and presentational speaking, reading comprehension, and/or writing practice. With private lessons, we can focus on the areas that you would specifically like to improve upon!

Issy creates such a welcoming and encouraging environment so I never felt nervous about making mistakes. Each session felt like a natural conversation, but she still managed to incorporate new vocabulary and correct my pronunciation. She was incredibly patient and effective at explaining grammar rules while keeping the sessions engaging and individualized to my goals. My fluency has increased significantly, and I feel much more comfortable speaking English thanks to Issy!
