About Jennifer
I’m a qualified primary school teacher with a passion for helping children build confidence and enjoyment in Math. I graduated from Maynooth University in 2023 and have two years’ experience working in primary schools, including Junior classes, EAL and SET.
I believe Math is best learned through understanding rather than simply memorizing methods. My lessons focus on number talks, problem-solving and exploring different strategies and methods, allowing children to explain their thinking and develop a deeper understanding of Math.
I also use hands-on activities, practical resources and engaging games to make Math enjoyable and accessible. I tailor each lesson to the child’s individual needs, pace and learning style.
I am warm, patient and encouraging, and my aim is to create a relaxed environment where children feel comfortable making mistakes, asking questions and challenging themselves.
I also have extensive experience working with children through Girl Guides, Foroige, Let’s Go, Star Camp and Mosney, including supporting children with additional needs.
My goal is to help each child develop strong mathematical skills, become a confident problem-solver and, most importantly, enjoy Math.
