About Pauline
In my career as a teacher, I have worked across the primary age range, honing my skills to cater to different learning needs.
I successfully undertook the role of home-schooling three of my four children, from early years through to achieving success at GCSE level.
I also have valuable experience in one-to-one tutoring, from ages 12 to adult.
My passion for supporting those experiencing the unique challenges faced by neurodivergent individuals has deepened over the years, fuelled not only by my professional experiences, but also by the personal journey with two dyslexic children of my own.
Seeing the challenges they faced, their strengths and difficulties, and the impact this had on their learning and self-esteem, has led me to train in effective methods for supporting struggling learners and harnessing their innate capabilities.

If you have concerns around dyslexia or dyscalculia, I can provide the support you are looking for.
Providing visual, interactive approaches which harness the learning strengths of neurodivergent thinkers, these tutoring sessions will support your natural way of thinking, and help you to regain confidence and independence in your learning.
If your main concerns centre on the ability to focus, difficulties with executive function, or the impact of ADHD or dyspraxia, sessions can be delivered to address these concerns.
All tutoring sessions are tailored to provide ways to manage focus and energy. Developing these skills will have a positive impact on learning and daily life, allowing individuals to engage better with their learning, and to grow in general self-confidence.
I offer 1 hour sessions during term times, from key stages 1-3. I also work with older students and adults who are struggling with dyslexia, dyscalculia, ADHD or dyspraxia.
I also offer offer intensive courses (usually about 30 hours) which can be booked in a single block, for rapid progress.
Pauline Potter B.Ed (hons). Postgraduate Certificate in Dyslexia and Literacy. Licensed Davis facilitator.
Recommendations
Recommendations come from relatives, friends and acquaintances of the teacher
I first met Pauline approximately 11 years ago at a social meet-up for home educated children. Over the years Pauline has helped me a lot with advice for structuring lessons, sourcing content and literature, hosting lessons for groups of children and most recently doing an intensive specialised dyslexia helping course with my youngest child. This was amazing and not only helped my son to be confident to sit his English GCSE this summer, but also helped me to understand my own dyslexia learning strengths.
