About Ruth
I recently graduated from PLNU with my BS in Chemistry and am taking a gap year while I apply to PhD programs. My long-term goal is to become a chemistry professor!
I have been tutoring chemistry for 2.5 years and come highly recommended by students and professors alike! I am passionate about relaying scientific information in a way that is graspable, and exciting, and I am motivated by helping students succeed at something that often feels daunting.

I specialize in tutoring college-level chemistry, including General Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, and Chemistry for Health Professions. I also tutor high school chemistry students! My sessions begin by asking students about their goals, allowing me to tailor our time to meet their specific needs.
I believe in the power of creativity in teaching, recognizing that students have different learning styles and preferences. My focus is on fostering a deep understanding of concepts rather than rote memorization, helping students see how these concepts interconnect and apply to the real world.
