About Priyanka
I have been in formal education for the past 18 years and have a wealth of experience to draw on when teaching students. Having been through the 11+, GCSEs, A-levels, University applications and an undergraduate degree I know how daunting and stressful studying can be. I aim to create a patient, supportive environment to help students build their confidence as well as their skills in their chosen subject.

My approach focuses on tailoring the classes to the students' needs. This involves regular check-ins at the start of each session to discuss what the student specifically needs help with, so I can then curate each class accordingly. I would recommend 1 hour sessions to ensure student focus is maintained, with the option for longer sessions as exams approach. I teach History at any level, Maths and English up to GCSE and Verbal Reasoning, Non-Verbal Reasoning, Maths and English at 11+ level. Drawing from my personal experience as a student and as a tutee, I use a mixed approach focusing on subject content and practice questions. This not only allows the student to apply their knowledge to prepare for exams but also increases their confidence in a patient, supportive learning environment. While I am new to formal tutoring, my years' worth of experience childminding and babysitting children have taught me how to create a friendly, safe atmosphere. I am a bubbly young woman who is reliable, easy to talk to and genuinely invested in helping students improve and enjoy their learning.
