My teaching philosophy is rooted in the understanding that every student is unique. With my background in Cognitive Science, I employ a variety of teaching methods tailored to individual learning styles, especially adept at working with neurodivergent students. My approach is flexible, adapting to the needs and strengths of each student. I focus on building a strong foundational understanding and then progressing to more complex concepts, ensuring that learning is both comprehensive and enjoyable.

A typical lesson with me is structured yet adaptable. I start by setting clear objectives for the session, followed by a brief review of previous material to ensure continuity and retention. The main part of the lesson involves interactive learning, where I explain concepts, demonstrate problems, and engage students in problem-solving activities. I use real-world examples to make the material relatable and easier to grasp. The session concludes with a summary of what was learned and a preview of the next topic, along with personalized homework assignments to reinforce the day's learning.

What truly sets me apart as a tutor is my ability to make learning fun and less stressful. My approachable demeanor and passion for teaching create a positive and encouraging learning environment. I am committed to not just teaching academic content but also to boosting my students' confidence and interest in the subject. My expertise in Cognitive Science allows me to apply scientifically-backed teaching methods, ensuring that each student receives the most effective education tailored to their cognitive needs and preferences.

My lessons are designed for students of various levels, from middle school to high school, and particularly for those in Algebra 1 and 2, Chemistry, and AP US & AP Gov. I specialize in working with neurodivergent students, understanding their unique challenges and strengths. Whether a student is struggling with the basics or looking to excel in advanced topics, my lessons are customized to meet their specific academic goals and learning styles.
