About Alexandros
I am a research Mathematician with strong academic experience and the relevant qualifications. I have studied Electrical Engineering for five years with strong Mathematical component and when I completed my degree I decided that Mathematics is my passion. As a consequence, I started a wonderful journey obtaining a Master's Diploma in Mathematics from Heriot-Watt University and a Doctorate from University of Strathclyde. In addition to that I have held a Postdoctoral position in the UK. Furthermore, I have worked multiple times as a tutor, I am a video content creator having my own YouTube channel and I am an author of research articles and educational material. My teaching techniques and methodologies depend on the level and the background of the student individually. As a general rule, I use a combination of asynchronous and synchronous teaching methods in order to facilitate the needs of the students. The asynchronous material is basically preparation of recorded videos that would help the student gain more confidence and independence to learn. In addition to that, handouts and homework sheets are given in order to make the material more enjoyable.
Concerning the live lessons, my main focus is to give plenty of examples and demonstrate the appropriate methodologies. The duration of the lessons are one-two hours as the concentration levels drop after a certain point.
I have done private tuition multiple times and I have the appropriate qualifications. I have a Master's Diploma and a Doctorate in Mathematics.
My lessons are tailored for the age group 16-25, which means that I deal with high school, pre-university and university level Mathematics.
