About Sophia

Hi! I’m Sophia, a dedicated and patient tutor passionate about helping students feel confident and capable in their learning. I believe every student can succeed when they’re given the right guidance and encouragement. I’m currently a college student with experience working as a student teacher in both preschool and elementary classrooms, including with children who have special needs.

About the lesson

My tutoring style is centered around understanding, not memorizing. I focus on helping students truly grasp the “why” behind what they’re learning so they can apply it anywhere, not just on one test. We meet over Zoom at a time that fits your schedule! I personalize every session to you, whether that’s reviewing assignments, practicing tricky concepts, or improving study habits. First free intro session is 15 min. After that, it's 30-minute sessions. I take time to understand each student’s strengths, challenges, and learning style. I make lessons feel low pressure and positive, so students actually enjoy learning again. I believe in helping students grow in both knowledge and confidence, guided by patience and compassion.
