About Stephen
I am passionate about teaching and learning, and have been teaching people for much of my life in various capacities. I find students are often smarter than they think, and I am excited to help clear the way before them and help them through their classes. I love fishing and music and feel most at home on the beaches of Orange County.

I have experience tutoring at every level of education both individuals and groups. I have been a TA at my university for various physics classes and have privately tutored physics, mathematics, and Spanish. I am fluent in Spanish from spending two years in Chile, a month in Peru, and two months in Spain. It is my philosophy that much of teaching is akin to translation: it requires taking the material and communicating it in a format that the student understands. I strive to help students learn to understand exactly what is asked of them in their own terms, so that they can effectively apply themselves.
