About Jackson

Hello, my name is Jackson. As a dual Statistics and Chemistry major on a rigorous premedical track, I hold myself to the highest academic standards, a commitment reflected by my perfect 36 on the ACT. Beyond my strong command of complex STEM subjects, I bring proven reliability, organization, and patience to every single tutoring session. Having previously worked as a summer camp counselor, I know how to connect with youth and teenagers, ensuring a supportive and engaging learning environment rather than a stressful one. My Teaching Method

My approach focuses on concept-driven problem solving. I believe that breaking down complex, intimidating topics into digestible steps builds both competence and confidence. Having recently navigated rigorous, high-level standardized testing myself, I teach my students active recall, effective study strategies, and how to deconstruct tricky questions rather than just feeding them the answers.
A Typical Lesson Plan

Warm-up: We start by reviewing the previous week's material and addressing any lingering questions or struggles with recent homework.

Concept Introduction: I break down the day’s new topic using clear, logical explanations and real-world analogies.

Guided Practice: We tackle practice problems together, with me walking through the logic and troubleshooting mistakes in real-time.

Independent Application: The student solves a few problems entirely on their own to ensure they have truly mastered the concept before we wrap up.

What Sets Me Apart

Beyond scoring a perfect 36 on the ACT, I bring a unique blend of deep academic rigor and approachable patience. My background includes both intensive scientific study—spanning topics like thermodynamics and biochemistry—and hands-on experience as a summer camp counselor. This means I know how to manage complex material while keeping the environment engaging, stress-free, and supportive. I know exactly what it takes to study for high-stakes exams, and I pass those very same test-taking and stress-management strategies directly on to my students.
Who These Lessons Are For

I specialize in tutoring middle school and high school students who are looking for help with:

Standardized Test Prep: ACT (all sections, with a specialized focus on Math and Science strategies).

Chemistry: Standard High School Chemistry, Honors, and AP Chemistry.

Mathematics: Algebra, Pre-Calculus, Calculus, and AP Statistics.

Foundational Science: General biology and physical science concepts.

Whether a student is looking to build foundational skills, trying to jump from a B to an A, or aiming for a top-tier ACT score, I tailor my pacing and focus to fit their exact goals.
