About Matt
I am currently a rising senior at Miami Unversity in Oxford, OH studying mechanical engineering. I have taken and excelled in classes like Calculus I, II, and III along with Differential Equations. I plan to use these skills I've acquired at school to become a design engineer one day, but I would love to help others learn what I have gained so much value from along the way. Further, I like to think that I can bring some much-needed energy to course material that others may find dull.

I will usually start off with a diagnostic call to go over what the student is struggling with in a particular subject. After this call, I will then create a plan of attack regarding how we should move forward with their learning.
With math and physics especially, it is imperative that experiential learning takes place. This means doing problems and actively finding solutions instead of passively watching how problems are supposed to be done. I use most of what I teach on a daily basis for my studies and growing career.
After understanding the student's weak areas of a subject and/or going over material that they've reviewed in class, I will make a set of problems that challenges those areas. We will solve those problems alongside each other and walk through what needs to change in their problem-solving process, arithmetic, etc.
My typical student is one who is in high school taking college credit classes (AP, IB, etc.) or in university taking their general physics or calculus classes.
