About Helen
Hi! I’m an education student and aspiring teacher offering Grade 7–12 English tutoring, with a focus on essay writing, literary analysis, and reading comprehension. I enjoy helping students build the skills and confidence they need to succeed in English courses.
Many students find writing essays or analyzing literature challenging. As a tutor, I help break these tasks down into clear, manageable steps. Together, we work on organizing ideas, developing strong arguments, improving reading comprehension, and strengthening overall writing skills. My goal is not only to help students complete assignments, but also to give them strategies they can use independently in future classes.
I offer support with high school English tutoring, including essay writing help, literary analysis, reading comprehension support, and exam preparation. I also provide essay editing and writing support for first-year university students who want to improve clarity, structure, and academic writing skills.
I aim to create a supportive and encouraging learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and developing confidence in their abilities.

As a teacher candidate, I believe learning should be engaging, supportive, and tailored to each student’s needs. My goal as a tutor is not only to help students complete assignments, but also to build their confidence and independent learning skills.
My teaching approach combines clear explanations, guided practice, and discussion. I help students break down complex ideas, develop strong reading and writing strategies, and organize their thoughts effectively, especially when working on essays or literary analysis.
A typical lesson begins with identifying the student’s goals or challenges. From there, we work through examples, assignments, or practice exercises together. I provide constructive feedback and practical strategies that students can apply in future classes.
My lessons are ideal for middle school, high school, and undergraduate students, particularly those seeking support with English, essay writing, reading comprehension, and exam preparation.
