About Shoon Lae
I am an experienced Writing and Reading tutor currently working at my college’s tutoring center. I help students strengthen their reading comprehension, academic writing, and critical thinking skills in a way that feels supportive and encouraged. I understand that learning English—whether it’s for essays, reading analysis, or improving your writing flow—can feel overwhelming at times. That’s why my approach is patient, encouraging, and focused on helping my tutees feel confident in their abilities. My teaching style is a student centered learning style where students usually start with their questions and then I provide the techniques and resources to fully perceive the context idea. My typical lesson plan with college students is to answer the student's questions. If I am teaching the primary or high school students, I have my materials to instruct each topic and always customize the resources to meet each student's specific needs. I can tutor a wide range of students starting from the primary school students to college students.
