About Hamideh
Learning a new language can be challenging, but it can also be an exciting and rewarding experience! Having learned several languages myself, I know what it feels like to start from scratch, make mistakes, and gradually become more confident.
I enjoy working with people from different backgrounds and creating a friendly, relaxed environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and practicing without fear of making mistakes.
I’m patient, approachable, and genuinely enjoy seeing my students improve. For me, teaching is not just about explaining grammar or vocabulary; it’s about connecting with people, sharing cultures, and helping others achieve their goals.

My Spanish lessons are interactive, engaging, and tailored to your individual goals and learning style. As a PhD candidate in Hispanic Studies and a Spanish instructor at the University of Houston, I bring both academic expertise and practical teaching experience to every lesson.
Whether you’re a complete beginner, looking to improve your conversational skills, or preparing for college Spanish courses, I’ll help you build confidence and make real progress.
My teaching approach focuses on real-life communication, cultural understanding, and creating a supportive environment where you feel comfortable practicing, making mistakes, and learning at your own pace. I incorporate conversation, grammar, reading, and listening activities to make learning Spanish both effective and enjoyable.
