About Karen
I have over 10 years of experience teaching English to adult learners from different countries, including students from Spain, Korea, China, Turkey, and other international backgrounds. I have taught learners from beginner to advanced levels, with a strong focus on Business English, conversational English, grammar, pronunciation, and professional communication. I also have experience helping students prepare for IELTS and develop the confidence to communicate effectively in both workplace and everyday situations.
I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and a 120-hour TESOL certificate from World TESOL Academy. My teaching methodology is student-centered, practical, and communicative. I adapt each lesson to the student’s level, goals, learning style, and professional needs. I encourage students to speak as much as possible, while providing clear explanations, useful corrections, and practical examples they can use immediately.
My experience includes teaching through platforms and companies such as Verbling, ClasingELTS, Phoneenglish.es, KEYMEDIA, and HUFS EDU. I have worked with professionals in different industries and supported learners in improving their speaking, grammar, vocabulary, listening, and overall communication skills.
My main areas of expertise are Business English, General English, conversation, grammar, workplace communication, interview preparation, and IELTS preparation. My goal is to create a relaxed and supportive learning environment where adult students feel comfortable making mistakes, asking questions, and becoming more confident English speakers.
