I am a qualified specialist dyslexia teacher and senior school leader with extensive experience supporting learners with dyslexia and literacy difficulties.

About the lesson

My lessons are structured, evidence-based and tailored to learners with dyslexia or literacy difficulties.

Sessions may include:

- Phonics and decoding for reading accuracy
- Spelling and word-level work
- Reading fluency and comprehension
- Written expression and sentence construction
- Explicit study skills, including organisation, revision strategies and metacognition

Lessons are carefully paced, cumulative and multisensory, with regular review and overlearning.

Sessions are adapted to each learner’s profile and delivered online using specialist resources, with a focus on building confidence, independence and long-term progress.
