About Lesley
I'm a grammar school graduate with a passion for helping students succeed in competitive entrance exams. I scored 141/141 on the NVR component of the Kent Test and attended Dartford Grammar School for Girls for secondary school and Dartford Grammar School for Sixth Form in Kent. I have over 5 years of experience tutoring for the 11+, 13+, and school-specific entrance exams, including St. Olave's, Tonbridge, and Newstead Wood School. All of my students have gone onto enrolling at their top choice grammar/independent schools to date. I'm currently starting a degree in dental surgery at university, bringing strong academic discipline and firsthand experience of the selective school pathway to every lesson I teach.

- Focus on strong fundamentals first, not just exam technique across Maths, English, VR, and NVR
- Particular focus on Non-Verbal Reasoning, which is often the hardest test component for students since it relies on pattern recognition and spatial reasoning rather than skills taught in school
- Teach the underlying logic behind NVR question types rather than memorised patterns (I scored 141/141 on the NVR component of the Kent Test)
- Combination of structured teaching of new concepts, timed practice, and past papers
- Detailed feedback after each session so students know exactly where they're losing marks and how to improve
