About Bella

As a freshman math major with a minor in dance at Spelman College, I bring over five years of tutoring experience to my role, currently working with 25 students each week at a local high school in Atlanta. I’ve had the opportunity to tutor in both private and public school settings, which has given me valuable insights into adapting my methods for diverse learning environments. I am skilled at managing any behavior issues that arise, maintaining a supportive and focused learning space. Communication is a priority, so I make sure to keep parents well-informed about their child’s progress. My goal is to help each student excel academically while fostering a positive and productive learning experience.

As a dedicated tutor for students from Pre-K through 12th grade, my mission is to ensure that each student not only understands but also retains the material. To achieve this, I create personalized lesson plans that cater to each student’s unique learning style and pace. My teaching method emphasizes the importance of strong foundational skills; I review basic math concepts regularly to ensure students can confidently tackle more complex ideas and concepts in math without feeling overwhelmed. This approach builds confidence, reinforces knowledge, and helps students connect new learning to what they already know. By breaking down challenging topics and focusing on retention, I aim to empower each student to achieve their full potential in math.
