About Craig
Hi, I’m currently studying an MSc Pre-Registration Physiotherapy degree at Liverpool Hope University, having previously graduated from Liverpool John Moores University with a BSc in Sports Science. I teach Maths and Science, and I have previous experience tutoring Maths at the lower paper level.
Interestingly, Maths wasn’t always my strongest subject. I struggled with it myself during my education and benefited from having a tutor who was able to explain things in a way that made sense to me. That experience showed me how much of a difference the right support, patience, and encouragement can make. It is one of the reasons I enjoy tutoring today, as I want to provide students with the same support that helped me.
My approach is friendly, patient, and personalised. I understand that students can sometimes feel nervous about asking questions or admitting when they don’t understand something, so I aim to create a relaxed environment where they feel comfortable learning at their own pace. Rather than simply giving students the answers, I focus on helping them understand the reasoning behind each problem so they can become more confident and independent learners.
My goal is to make Maths and Science feel less intimidating while helping students improve their knowledge, confidence, and results.

My approach to tutoring is centred around making learning simple, engaging, and tailored to each student. I understand that everyone learns differently, so I take the time to identify areas where a student may be struggling and adapt my teaching style to suit their individual needs. Rather than simply providing answers, I encourage students to understand the methods behind each problem, helping them develop confidence and become more independent learners. My previous experience tutoring Maths, combined with my background in Sports Science and current MSc Physiotherapy studies, has strengthened my ability to explain complex ideas clearly and patiently. I aim to create a relaxed and supportive environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes, and learning from them. My goal is not only to help students improve their grades, but also to build their confidence and make Maths and science feel more manageable and enjoyable.
