Hi! I'm Lenita, a high school honors student with a strong academic background and a passion for helping others succeed in math. As a tutor, my approach is all about making learning feel clear, personal, and stress-free. I break down each concept step by step and adjust my explanations based on how the student learns best, whether that’s through visuals, real-life examples, or guided practice.
A typical session with me starts by quickly reviewing what the student is currently working on or struggling with. From there, I walk them through examples, answer questions, and then guide them through practice problems together. I also like to end each session with a few tips or memory tricks to help things stick between lessons.
What sets me apart is that I’m a high school honors student myself, so I understand what students are going through — I’ve been in their shoes recently, and I know what teachers expect. I’m not just helping them solve a problem, I’m helping them feel more confident and independent in the subject.
These lessons are perfect for middle schoolers and early high school students who are learning Middle School Math, Pre-Algebra, Algebra 1, or Geometry and want clear, patient support from someone who gets it.
