About Suren
My name is Suren Grigoryan, I’m 19 years old and originally from Armenia. I’m fluent in Armenian, Russian, and English. In 2023, I was awarded the prestigious HMC full scholarship, which brought me to the UK to study A Levels at Dulwich College. I began my tutoring journey in 2020 as a chess coach in Armenia. Since then, I’ve expanded my teaching experience to academic subjects. In 2023, I started tutoring in Mathematics and Psychology, combining my passion for clear, student-centred learning with strong subject knowledge.

As a recent student myself, I understand the common gaps that many teachers overlook when explaining concepts. I'm here to fill in those gaps and make learning smoother for you. My teaching style flips the traditional approach. At the beginning of each lesson, we’ll review your homework together, focusing especially on anything that was confusing. Then, during the lesson, we’ll solve the hardest problems together. That way, you're left with the easier ones to practise on your own — helping you build confidence and reinforce what you’ve learnt. I’ve always wished more teachers taught this way. It ensures you fully understand the topic and gradually become more independent in your learning.
