About Kelly
I'm passionate about teaching because I believe in the power of education to transform lives and communities. My academic background includes a Master's in History, along with a Bachelor's in Joint Honors English and History. Through my studies, I developed a deep appreciation for the stories that shape our world, which I love sharing with students. Teaching offers me a unique opportunity to inspire curiosity and critical thinking. I enjoy creating engaging lesson plans that incorporate interactive activities, allowing students to actively participate and learn in a dynamic environment. I find fulfillment in helping students build their confidence and language skills, whether it's through English language instruction or guiding them in historical analysis. Additionally, my work experience as an English language teacher has shown me the joy of seeing students progress and embrace new challenges. Their success motivates me to continue developing my teaching methods and explore new ways to connect with learners. Ultimately, I want to be a supportive figure in my students' educational journeys, helping them discover their potential and encouraging a lifelong love for learning.

I use a communicative approach, focusing on practical usage of English through using an English book, interactive activities like role plays and discussions. Each lesson typically lasts 60 minutes, for young learners/beginners lasts 45 minutes. I have a BA in Joint Honours English and History from University College Cork and hold several TEFL qualifications, including CELTA. My experience includes tutoring students of various backgrounds and proficiency levels. Lessons for all ages and proficiency levels, tailored to individual needs.
