About Amita
Hi! I’m Amita, a top 9% UCAT scorer with 2360 B1 in 2025. I offer personalised 1-1 online tutoring as well as in-person where available, where I provide you with my own insider techniques and tricks to acing the UCAT, with specialised feedback so we can help you reach your maximum potential together.
Having over 2 years of experience in tutoring 1-1, in peer support groups as well as to large groups through my society, I am confidently able to tailor each session to your personal potential and comfort to maximise our results together.
Further, I love to get to know my tutees, and I like to make you as comfortable as possible, because we are in this together, and I encourage you to ask questions, yap to me about your interests, and tell me your worries so we can overcome them. I believe learning works well when you really know each other because you will be more inclined to enjoy the session!

About the lesson

In our first session, I’d like to spend some time just chatting and getting to know you, and what ideas or impressions you may have about the medical process so I could answer any questions. From there, mapping your strengths and the areas you may need more support, we can form a personalised plan to help you ace the UCAT!
Here’s how I like to structure my sessions usually:
Session 1: SJT
Breaking down the most “medical” part of the UCAT, going through all the necessary resources and giving you tips and tricks, including how to notice nuances in questions and learning how to trust your gut.
Session 2/3: QR/VR
Depending on whether you struggle more with maths or English, we can take either path. In both, we will be delving into the specific types of questions and what could be asked, with relearning some basics and formulas from Maths GCSE to skim-reading exercises to fortify your VR.
Session 4: DM
Perhaps one of the most confusing sections at the first glance, we will be spending time on each question type to form a plan of attack to tackle DM. It’s all about your technique and “decision making”, so after this session, you should be a lot more confident in your answers and know how to work through this section stress-free.
From session 5 onwards we will be looking back over your progress and have a sort of check-in meeting. Have we met the goals we thought we’d be achieving by now? If not, we will be zoning in on those weaker areas to bring your score up, and if so, then we’ll keep working to make that consistent!

Amita is very professional and friendly, with a high level of UCAT knowledge across all 4 sections.
After just one lesson where I outlined my concerns including a low average score across mocks and lack of confidence in my SJT abilities due to getting Band 3 in multiple mocks, she taught me various methods to improve my cognitive subtest scores and also targeted advice to overcome hurdles in decision-making in the SJT.
