Ben Wood is an exceptionally professional and knowledgeable expert when it comes to design.
His experience comes from both a first hand understanding of the industrial design industry as well as a robust understanding of the visual communication and design curriculum.
I first approached Ben for his help as an industry expert in 2020 so that students in Visual Communication and Design could reference as part of their unit 3 outcome 2. Not only did he deliver an excellent overview of his area of study and the industrial design process, he maintained an extremely professional and inspiring role with the students, who have been able to ask him for one on one feedback with their folios and even selection tasks to university
He has since been of tremendous assistance to me in my role as a VCE teacher and I have relied heavily on Bens extensive understanding of design to assist VCE year 11 and year 12 students in both the delivery of their design pitch, the cross moderation of design work and as an aide in developing curriculum that is both in line with the VCE study and relevant to the design industry.
He is not only a fantastic educator he is also a truly kind and patient individual who will spend as much time covering content as he does trying to develop an individual support for your student!

Living and working alongside Ben for the past 6 years, through university and within the professional workplace, I can say I know him very well. I can certainly recommend Ben for his energy, curiosity, honesty, and passion. His best quality is his ability to listen and build upon your specific direction. Hi there, my name is Cakra. I'm an Industrial Design student in my final year at Swinburne, and I've got a lot of help from Ben throughout the years of studying.

I knew Ben before meeting him by knowing his fantastic work that has always been put up in every class I had. The teacher would show us an excellent example of what to expect: Ben's work for a goal.

Ben is a very wholesome person willing to help you get where you want. Regarding feedback for a design project, I always go to Ben for honest feedback and give you a great solution. From his excellent knowledge throughout his course, I must say that he acquired so much knowledge and design experience as an industrial designer.

I'm currently in a great position as a design technician at Swinburne ProtoLab, and without having Ben around in my study, I wouldn't get this job. He has helped me through so much through the years; he is the best industrial designer I know.
