About Derek
Two things that I enjoy most are helping people and exchanging knowledge. Tutoring allows me to experience the joy of both those things at the same time. Nothing is more fulfilling then experiencing that "ah-ha" moment, whether it be yourself or as a witness, when it clicks. The concept has been received and solidified into understanding. Now you have the power to build on that understanding. I like sharing that power and want to empower anyone struggling to grasp a concept I already understand. This is a space for learning and improvement, never judgement.

I'm a patient and thorogh person who loves to share knowledge. My approach is to meet people where they are knowing everyone is capable of understanding a concept in their own time. Once a person understands a concept and its applications, it becomes a tool at their disposal.
Our minds are constantly looking for relations and patterns. Through practice problems and real world scenarios I explain complex principles in the simplest of terms. When a person can relate to a situation they can better understand it.
For anyone looking for a tutor to help them work through their course work, I'm proficient in Mathematics up to Calculus, Physics and English.
