About Michaela
I am passionate about literature and teaching English language arts. I have a Master of Arts in English and Comparative Literature from Columbia University and a Bachelor of Arts with Honors in English Literature from Brown University. Since graduation, I have worked in Venture Capital, but I remain academically engaged and eager to tutor in my spare time as I have always loved teaching. I have extensive experience tutoring these subjects to students between 6th-12th grade.

As a tutor I make sure to work closely with students to figure out what works best for them. I design unique lesson plans for each of my clients, tailored to their needs and goals. I have taught in the classroom in addition to tutoring online and in person, so I have lots of experience. I specialize in ELA, literature, essay writing, and reading comprehension for middle and high school students.
