About Yew Leong
I always believe that Every Child Can Learn. I would work with the student to understand the challenges that he or she is facing in learning and apply a spiral learning approach to help the student understand the topic and gain confidence in learning. Eventually, each student should be able to take ownership for his or her own learning and apply similar learning skills in other subjects.
I am a very patient and passionate teacher/ tutor who is able to engage students well.

- I apply the Concrete-Pictorial-Abstract (CPA) pedagogy which is proven in the Singapore Primary School Mathematics curriculum to help my students understand and solve Mathematics questions.
- I will perform a simple diagnostic test to check the current level of understanding of my students during my first lesson.
- I would recommend per lesson duration of 1.5 to 2 hours.
- I hold a Post Graduate Diploma in Education (PGDE) through the National Institute of Education (NIE/ NTU) Singapore and a Bachelor Degree (Hons) in Mechanical Engineering.
- I am also able to teach Middle School Mathematics and Physics.
