About Ben
I've just finished my own A Levels in Maths and Further Maths, achieving an A*A respectively and I'm now applying to study Maths at top UK universities. That means my subject knowledge and exam technique are as current and exam-relevant as they can be — I've sat the very papers you're preparing for, recently and successfully.
What I enjoy most is guiding students through problems step by step until they can tackle exam questions with real confidence, not just memorised methods. During sixth form, I mentored fellow maths students, which taught me how to quickly understand each person's way of thinking and offer alternative approaches. I bring that same patience and adaptability to every lesson.
You can expect me to be reliable, flexible and fully invested in your learning.

Before each session, we'll agree on the topic in advance so I can prepare the right questions and resources for you. Lessons typically start with a short recap or introduction to the topic, before moving into worked examples. I'll work through questions alongside you, pointing out mistakes as they happen and asking you to explain your reasoning, so we can pinpoint exactly where any gaps in understanding or technique lie. Towards the end of the lesson, we'll recap the key points together, with particular focus on anything you found tricky, and I'll suggest targeted practice for any areas that need extra attention.
