About Mieke
I am an honest, kind and patient person. I love dancing and writing poetry. I have plenty of experience looking after children and elderly people. I am passionate about learning and I am a very strong advocate for personal growth. Whatever your motivation is to learn, I know I can help you and cheer you on along the way. I finished my undergraduate degree in psychology a couple of years ago and I have a TEFL diploma. I am currently gaining some life experience before I continue my psychology studies and I believe that teaching people and helping them reach their goals is a very powerful way to extend your world views and broaden your horizons. I am here to teach you, but I know that I will also learn from you.

I never liked school, but I have always loved learning. I realised that it was the pressure to perform that took me down as a student, so I apply a very different teaching style. My students come first!Their goals, learning styles and needs are my priority. I will help you learn and enjoy what you are learning. I teach mainly English, business English and Afrikaans. In a lesson we will have an encouraging environment where student can learn what they need to learn and leave feeling accomplished and seen. I have a broad ability and can teach anyone from absolute beginners in English to advanced speakers. I am a flexible tutor and as log as you learn what you came to learn, I will be happy.
